Nogales, Sonora Mission Trip

Every invitation to preach should be received as an invitation from God to speak about His wonderful message. Of course, sometimes it is impossible to accept because of a busy schedule with other areas of ministry, but when there are possibilities I try to take advantage of them. 

I have had the opportunity to visit churches inside and outside the country (USA) for example: In Nogales, Sonora, (10 hours drive from Los Angeles) where I was able to preach with the congregation of just 10 people, we took books and Bibles to support the growth.

Pastor Abel is a missionary from Taxco, Guerrero. He and his family traveled from Taxco to Nogales by car, the trip from Taxco to Nogales is 27 to 29 hours. Once they arrived in the city of Nogales they settled in a small, barely habitable house next to the small church. Services such as water and garbage collection are non-existent.

Abel's wife and family welcomed us with open arms and a huge smile on their faces, we felt very welcome and appreciated every detail they had with us.Abel studies in the IDEX program, the program I work in at The Master's Seminary. His performance is outstanding, and our visit verified the effort he makes to study. I encouraged him to continue preparing and seeking to improve his service to the Lord, we prayed for him and I preached in his church on Sunday morning.

The ministry called Grace Mexico provided the church with Bibles, books, books on the fundamentals of the faith, a speaker and microphone, and clothes for the winter. The communication with them continues and the effort he has put into studying continues. Please pray for the work in Nogales, Sonora and for Pastor Abel and his family.
